A safe refuge for the healing and restoration of sexually exploited kids in America

In the United States, there is a significant gap in residential care services for children under 10 and boys who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation. Most existing facilities primarily serve adolescent girls, leaving younger children and boys with limited access to the specialized, long-term care they need to heal from the trauma of sex trafficking. This lack of resources forces many of these vulnerable children into foster care or other systems ill-equipped to address their complex needs. The absence of dedicated care facilities for these populations highlights an urgent need for safe, therapeutic environments designed specifically for their healing and recovery.

Cedar Refuge is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building a safe haven for children recovered from sex trafficking in America. While we are in the process of establishing our facility, our vision is to provide a safe place for long-term healing, restoration, and renewed hope. With a focus on therapeutic programs, educational opportunities, and life skills training, we aim to empower the children we serve, helping them reclaim their childhood and build brighter futures. Our approach embraces the healing power of nature, with opportunities for outdoor exploration, animal care, and agricultural activities that foster connection and growth. While we work to bring this vision to life, we are committed to creating a refuge where these kids can just be kids and begin their journey toward wholeness.
